Defends Terri Schiavo’s

Right to Live

Clackamas, OR  - LIFE SUPPORT condemns the actions of the Florida Judge George Greer who ruled, just because she cannot feed herself, that Terry Schiavo’s feeding tube be removed.  We believe he has sentenced Terry Schiavo to death for doing no wrong, and that it is an illegal usurpation of power.  There are many people willing to care for Terri Schiavo, and there is no reason for her feeding tube to be removed.

Life Support Communications Director, Suzanne Brownlow, said:  “There are many people in this country who are unable to feed themselves:  newborns, physically and mentally handicapped, disabled elderly, and patients in hospitals recovering from disease or trauma.  Will it be open season on them too?  What a horror we are creating for America - Reminiscent of the Nazi holocaust where mental hospitals were cleared out!  Even children who wet the bed were sent to the gas chambers!  Is this what America is coming to?  Is this what WWII Allied soldiers gave their lives for?”     

Jim Leuenberger, LIFE SUPPORT Treasurer said, “Terri Schiavo is being murdered. The United States is rapidly descending to the level of Nazi Germany. I fear God will not stay his hand much longer. We are murdering those most in need of our love and protection. Judgment is inevitable. Judgment is sure. We will deserve whatever befalls us. I pray that we will repent quickly.”

Dave Brownlow, Executive Director of LIFE SUPPORT, said, “Starve your dog and see how fast you wind up in jail.  Something just does not add up here.  What is it about this poor woman that makes so many people want to see her dead?  Her parents are willing to go to great sacrifice to care for her.  Her husband seems willing to go to any extreme to make sure they do not have that chance.  This choice is an easy one, and we choose life.”

Life Support believes every human life is equal in dignity and sacredness; and it is our responsibility to secure, in full, the inalienable and fundamental right to life for all human persons.  Terry Schiavo should not be condemned to death because she needs extra care to live.
