Exposing State-Funded Abortion Scandal

Clackamas, OR - Life Support announces that it has uncovered and posted on its website documents that expose a trail of blood-money the Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) has paid to a select group of state-sponsored abortion providers.

In the documents now posted on www.lifesupportoregon.org show that, last year, the Oregon Department of Human Services used $1.6 million of state taxpayer money to kill 4,092 unborn Oregonians, paying an average of $403 per dead baby.

The ODHS documents also tracked the age at which each baby was killed, the method used to kill each baby, the number of babies the ODHS killed per Oregon County, along with specific facts about the pregnant women who were victimized by the ODHS abortion-funding program.

“The chillingly sterile, methodical detail used by ODHS to log these horrific crimes is not unlike what the Allied troops dug out of the ruins of Auschwitz, Treblinka and the other Nazi death camps. May God have mercy on Oregon,” said David Brownlow, the group’s Executive Director.

Internal ODHS documents list the amount of general funds used to pay for these deaths, along with the number of children killed in each of the last three years. The following are based on actuals and are from the OMAP Budget:

	FY 2004 = $1,650,323 for a total of 4,092 babies killed
	FY 2003 = $1,628,306 for a total of 4,108 babies killed
	FY 2002 = $1,747,079 for a total of 4,515 babies killed

According to ODHS documents, the top five “health” clinics that took part in the state-funded abortion business were:

	Lovejoy Surgicenter
	Columbia Planned Parenthood
	Downtown Women’s Center (all of Portland)
	Bours Heath Center (Forest Grove)
	Women’s Care Association of Lane County

Life Support Field Director Lon Mabon said, "As morally wrong as it is for one human being to take the innocent life of another human being, whether in the womb or out, it is equally wrong for government to force individuals and churches to pay for it, thereby, putting them into a position of aiding and abetting in the shedding of that innocent blood."

Life Support has put together a fact sheet concerning state-funded abortions and will begin distributing them, as a handout and through direct mail, to the citizens of Oregon.
