Facts About Oregon's State-Funded Abortion Business

Last year, the Oregon Department of Human Services used state taxpayer money to kill 4,092 unborn Oregonians, paying an average of $403 per dead baby.

Internal ODHS documents list the amount of general funds used to pay for these deaths, along with the number of children killed in each of the last three years.  The following are based on actuals, and are from the OMAP Budget:

FY 2004 = $1,650,323 for a total of 4,092 babies killed

FY 2003 = $1,628,306 for a total of 4,108 babies killed

FY 2002 = $1,747,079 for a total of 4,515 babies killed 

The top five “health” clinics and the approximate abortion dollars received in 2004:

Lovejoy Surgicenter - $495,000

Downtown Women’s Center (all of Portland) - $462,000

Columbia Planned Parenthood - $245,000

Bours Heath Center (Forest Grove) - $209,000

Women’s Care Association of Lane County - $72,000

ODHS meticulously logged the exact details of each child’s death, which includes: 

Number of children killed in each Oregon County.

Abortion method used to kill each child.

Age of each baby at the time of death.

Age of the mother at the time their son or daughter was killed.

Race, marital status, and abortion history of the victimized women.
