Money is not the answer. So we're not going to ask you to send us any!

Most of the money that was raised for pro-life political efforts over the last 33 years has been completely wasted. During that time, we took "pro-life" politicians at their word when they promised they would fight to end the abortion holocaust.  And we continued sending them the money.  Lot's of it.

Well, it turns out they lied to us. Hundreds of millions of dollars were raised, while nearly 50,000,000 babies died.  

Since 1994, when "pro-life" Republicans took control of the U.S. Congress, countless millions have been spent re-electing "pro-life" Republicans. The result? Over 15,000,000 American children were murdered during the 12-years the Republican have controlled Congress.  Which is probably the exact same number of children that would have died if the Democrats had been in charge!  

Millions of dollars were squandered during the fight to ban the so-called "partial birth" abortion.  The major pro-life groups turned the ten-year battle into a virtual cash cow.  Over that time, it became clear that their intent was never to actually ban this horrific method of child-killing - as evidenced by the fact the bill signed into law by our warmonger-in-chief was so thoroughly compromised, it did not even outlaw a single abortion - "partial" or otherwise!  It was a complete fraud!  

What the "partial birth" abortion ban did accomplish was to dumb down the definition of pro-life to the extent that pro-abort politicians could earn pro-life votes simply by supporting this phony ban.  The pro-life movement has never recovered. 

Folks, we have been shaken down by "pro-life" organizations and politicians since 1973 - and we have nothing to show for it. After three decades of trusting them to fight for the unborn, we are still killing 1,300,000 unborn American children every year.  What a tragedy.

Clearly, spending lots of money is not the answer.

So why the dirty business of politics?

The political solutions we seek will continue to fail us.  That is a given.  Our only hope is in JESUS CHRIST and HIS shed blood.   Which means it is time for all of us to get on our knees and beg HIS forgiveness for what we have allowed to happen.  

So why, one would ask, is LIFE SUPPORT spending time down in Salem at the state legislature?  

We have chosen to focus on the legislature at this point in time because Oregon's largest and most well funded "pro-life" group, which we refer to as "Oregon Right to Fundraise," chose to ignore the fact that Oregon taxpayer money was being used to kill over 4,000 Oregonians every year.  They never punched the alarm button!  

We are in this fight because the innocent blood we have shed is staining all of our hands.  The horror of what we have allowed to happen is not something we can simply walk away from.  We have all been financing the shedding of this innocent blood - which makes every one of us responsible to do something about it.

We are not going to the legislature to further our own political careers.  We are not going to the legislature to make new friends (obviously!).  We are not going to the legislature to build a coalition.  And we are not going to the legislature to line our own pockets.  

We are going to the legislature to expose the hypocrisy of those who run for political office on a pro-life platform, and take pro-life money, but fail to deliver the goods.  Our goal is to shame them (respectfully) into cutting off the public funds that are feeding the legalized child-killing industry.

Regarding finances - We are not too worried about it.  Expenses are low when using email, press releases and the web.  We have no staff, no office, and we refuse to send out fundraising appeals simply to fund the next fundraising appeal.  We are trusting in the Lord to meet all of our financial needs.

So if you want to financially help out an unborn child, give some money to a local Crisis Pregnancy Center, a home for unwed mothers, or some other group that is providing material support to women in a crisis pregnancy.  

But please, whatever you do, do not send another penny to the "pro-life" charlatans that have turned the fight against the American holocaust into a highly profitable business venture.
